I have worked on a range of specialist factual programmes including science, history, adventure, observational and natural history documentaries. I have a degree in Anthropology specialising in evolution and a passion for the mountains and adventure.

I have strong location experience directing crew and self-shooting in various places around the world, from maiden voyages across the South China Sea, astronomical observatories in Arizona, inside the pyramids of Egypt, rocket launches in Florida, and behind the scenes inside Europe’s most spectacular architecture. I'm very comfortable working in extreme cold, heat, and physically challenging conditions.

I shoot to a high standard using the Sony FX9, FX6, FS7 and A7s, and Canon cameras. I enjoy using mini jibs, sliders, and steadicam rigs for dynamic shots and directing drone pilots for stunning aerial sequences. I also have considerable experience in story-producing, setting up complex shoots with tricky access, scripting, and taking projects through the edit.
