Welcome to my page. I am a series director, producer and cameraman who has been making critically-acclaimed documentaries for more than 20 years. I was the Co-Creator and Series Director of the premium ($14m+) 7 x one-hour OWN/Discovery series, BELIEF. Hosted by Oprah Winfrey the series explored the power of belief through intimate personal stories of the faithful around the world. Recently, I directed the large-scale drama-docs, LAWLESS, for History Channel and, DEADLY INTELLIGENCE, for Discovery Science. As a staff filmmaker for National Geographic Television I directed the Emmy award-winning films, WAR CHILD and GORILLA MURDERS, and was awarded the Columbia-Dupont award for the film, LIBERIA, AMERICAN DREAM. One of my proudest accomplishments is my feature documentary, THE CHOIR, which involved filming over six years in a South African maximum security prison.My key strength is my ability to connect with people, anywhere and anytime. I love shooting as well as directing and am equally comfortable directing large crews as I am working solo in the field on hard-access stories. I have filmed in more than thirty countries, often in conflict zones. I am currently based in Istanbul, Turkey and travel to the UK, Europe, Australia and the US (I have a Green Card) for work.
