Hi! I'm a self-shooting director/producer with loads of experience producing content around the world. I've worked in more than 30 countries across all continents as a DOP, producer and/or director for broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4, Netflix, Nat Geo, VICE, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, PBS, A&E, SBS Australia, ABC Australia and many others.

Much of my work has been in challenging and remote locations (like war zones, health emergencies, furthest corners of the world, etc) and I can confidently set up shoots and work in these environments either as a solo self-shooter or part of a larger crew. As a director I have a great ability to seek out interesting storylines and create relationships with talent and contributors. I can cover sensitive content appropriately and have often worked alongside vulnerable contributors including patients and survivors.

My work has taken me along the Mekong River from source to mouth, I've hiked through Burma's jungles with rebel soldiers, sailed to Antarctica, filmed in Iraq during the fall of Mosul, covered the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, toured Cambodia by motorbike with Charlie Boorman, investigated human trafficking in China & Malaysia, explored water crisis across Israel, Palestine and Jordan with Alexandra Cousteau, followed diamond dealers in Sierra Leone, and many, many more incredible adventures.

I started out in post-production as an editor, DIT and a broadcast designer (as well as a film projectionist) and this adds to my tool belt of skills. I can reliably manage media, deliver rushes, edit in the field, colour manage and troubleshoot video tech issues.

I hold a remote wilderness first aid certification as well as completing sea survial training, fire warden training, and radio operation. 

I am available for work as a self-shooting PD or DoP and own a bunch of kit including the Sony FX6 with a range of cine and Sony GM lenses, an a7iv, Ronin gimbal, Mavic 3 Pro, and the other usual bits and pieces.
