I love my job! With years of experience in producing specialist factual documentaries for major broadcasters such as BBC, Five, Discovery, Love Nature, ITV & National Geographic, I am confident in my abilities as a program maker. I've produced blue chip wildlife sequences, directed talent on location, interviewed contributors and wrangled tricky edits - and I still get excited by the process of producing something that I think people will enjoy watching. For the past 8 years I have specialised in development where i've successfully won business with Nat Geo, Love Nature, Discovery, Vice, Channel 5, ABC, ITV and BBC. My expertise lies in developing specialist factual and factual series and specials, and I have built up a great roster of contacts within the industry (talent, commissioners, agents, distributors) during both my Head of Development and Dev Exec roles. I'm a real people person; I love networking, representing at conferences and events, making new contacts and managing a team. I've won access to locations over several other companies and have built up great relationships with celebrities, contributors and new talent that I've found. I write engaging treatments and love pitching my ideas to commissioners. I'm experienced in the field having directed and worked on both wildlife and presenter led shoots across the globe. I have worked on several logistically challenging productions where access has been complicated and hard won, and I am always aware of permit and budget restrictions - taking these into account whilst trying to deliver the most exciting on screen stories and visuals.
