I believe wildlife filmmaking is one of the most effective ways to encourage more people to connect with the natural world. My niche is entomology (insects), having focussed my university studies in this field and volunteered with a number of organisations assisting insect conservation: Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Butterfly Conservation, Buglife, the Natural History Museum (London) lepidoptera department, Essex Wildlife Trust, Bristol Zoo, and Tropical Wings Zoo. However, having a BSc in Zoology means I am knowledgable in all walks of life with strong research skills that can be put towards anything! My employment with the BBC has required me to quickly learn a variety of in-house systems and to produce research on all walks of life. Check out my short independent documentaries 'Cocooned - Secrets of the Spanish moon moth' and 'Exotic Extinction'. Both are available on YouTube and have been screened at the Natural History Museum, RHS Hyde Hall, Essex Wildlife Trust Visitor Centres, Imperial College London, and the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum (Honolulu).
