With over a decade of experience filming in some of the world’s most challenging environments, from Alaska to Africa, Ewan has established himself as a versatile professional in the field. He has worked as both a camera operator and sound recordist for major broadcasters and independent productions alike, earning credits across documentaries, factual entertainment, commercials, and drama.

In recent years, Ewan has specialised in character-driven narratives, particularly those involving Great Apes, capturing their stories with precision and dedication over the years. His expertise includes using long lenses, gimbals, drones, and sound recording equipment to achieve the highest quality results.

Ewan is committed to using the best cameras for each project and is well-versed in recommending the optimal camera and lens combinations to meet the specific needs of any production.

In addition to his skills as a camera operator, Ewan is also an accomplished sound recordist, having started his career in sound. With years of professional experience, he has even been nominated for the Wildscreen Sound Award.

Ewan is equipped with an FX6 self-shooting kit, Zeiss prime lenses, and a full sound mixer with radio mics and timecode capabilities, making him prepared for multiple camera setups.
