I am a Manchester-based Junior Production Manager, coming to the end of almost 2 years with BBC Studios. I've learned the BBC systems, including managing the eCat, however my other experience has meant I am well versed in organising call sheets and international travel for Indie's, delivering to traditional broadcasters such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, and streaming services such as Amazon Prime and Discovery Plus. I also deal with bugets, costings and expenses claims using PMI, risk assessments, maintaining the office and managing kit. I have also assisted on location, been second shooter and taken stills for press.
My most recent credit is BBCs Watchdog where I have been the sole member of the Production Management team working on a day to day basis, ensuring fast turnaround delivery of 4-minute VTs to The One Show every week. This involved jugling two filming teams and sorting their logistics for filming, whilst simultaneously managing the edit, delivery and post production paperwork alongside the legal issues in each film and their own Right of Replies.
I have studio experience, having recently worked on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown with Zeppotron. We worked remotely until filming at Dock10 Media City where two episodes were shot each evening. This role involved juggling a lot of travel arrangements for celebrity talent, navigating the extreme heat and train strikes, and coordinating a large number of crew on site.
I have ample experience in travel style documentaries, with credits including Travel Man, Falklands War: The Forgotten Battle, Ricky & Ralf’s Very Northern Road Trip and Eddie Eats America. Each programme presented unique logistical issues, from dealing with i-visas, the RAF, Brexit to - of course - the pandemic.
Additional uncredited roles have been assisting with filming in the USA for two very high importance exposé documentaries for 72Films, sorting International Visas for Dragonfly TV, assisting with Silvermouse for Maverick TV, completing post-production paperwork for TwentyTwenty's First Dates, assisting with Final Post for betty in January and December 2018, assisting with Silvermouse for The Garden in December 2017, logging and transcribing for Acme Films in May 2016 and subtitling for Best of Bristol Lectures in May 2016.
My experience in post has given me a deeper understanding of the production process through my continuous contact with Editors, Producer/Directors and Executive Producers. I have previous experience working on set, helping set up lighting and cameras whilst also working as a runner. I have administration experience, speak a bit of Italian and Spanish, and have a solid customer service background. Please contact me for availability and rates
