Read MoreI am a highly expeirenced Edit Assistant Producer, having recently moved up to Edit Producer. I'm very knowledgeable and quick using AVID, able to work confidently and efficiently on multi-cam syncmaps with over 20 cameras. In my recent roles I have proven my strength editorially, by helping to build the best stories possible, whilst also being incredibly technical and able to work at the level of an Assistant Editor. I have also recently been covering Edit Producers when on annual leave, working directly with the Editors both giving my own notes and addressing notes from the Execs.
Telling stories in the edit has always been the place in which I am most comfortable, and my experience has seen me cut sizzles, showreels and taster tapes; ably support Editors on a one-to-one basis; and direct Editors independently. I have a great eye for story and detail, am able to skilfully manage editorial and admin tasks, and can work confidently and comfortably on AVID Media Composer to fulfil tasks quickly and efficiently. As an Edit Assistant Producer, I am a central point of support for the entire edit team across all episodes, from supporting the Exec Producers, Edit Producers, Editors to managing the Edit Assistants and their workflow. My primary responsibility is to manage prep work for the edits ahead of their start dates, including managing interview transcriptions, pulling interview 'Best Bites', and compiling various sequences of useful sync and shots. Additionally, I am also solely responsible for identifying, pulling out and organising all material for the supertease/pre-titles, episode teases and marketing assets, which requires me to identify impactful moments from the dramatic to the entertaining, as well as having the foresight to include any useful b roll, cutaways and quick stotytelling upsync. On top of these responsibilities, I also assist the Edit Producers and Editors with amendments following viewing notes from the Execs and commissioners, and have regularly helped with pre-online checks and providing alternative shots and sync for the online editors.
The early years of my career were spent in Unscripted Development, primarily working at Fulwell 73. The opportunities I had during this time afforded me with great transferable skills in editing, graphic design, idea generation and story and character development. Whilst working in development, I cut sizzles, taster tapes and non-TX pilots using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. I designed treatment decks and assets using Photoshop and InDesign.
I am also a proficient French speaker, and in my spare time I ice skate, photograph concerts and teach myself how to play the guitar and piano - music is my biggest passion.
