Not only am I experienced on shoots and in the edit suite, but I also have experience in academia and NHS hospitals. Not only have I worked on numerous productions, often focusing specifically on those with particularly challenging technical elements, but I also spent six months of the pandemic working in an Intensive Care Unit. There, in addition to my healthcare skills, I also learnt the basics of full-stack development, with the goal of developing software that would make nurses and doctor's lives easier.I was originally trained in Geophysics, a hybrid discipline combining physics and geology, along with a range of smaller fields, such as the planetary & climate sciences, and oceanography. My MSci at the University of Southampton's National Oceanography Centre was largely research-focused, including original quantitative research into the interaction between magnetism, ocean currents and climate change.More recently, I have graduated the NFTS's new Directing & Producing Science & Natural History MA programme. The course taught a broad range of technical and creative skills, ranging from specialist camerawork (long lens, macro, timelapse, etc.) to programme development and pitching.
