A creative and committed PD and Series Producer with a science background working across a broad range of genres, including science, history, features and formats. Experienced in directing ambitious programmes, I strive to produce beautiful and visually compelling narratives, with strong storytelling at their heart.In the past I’ve created immersive worlds - from a working farm in Tudor Britain, to a secret garden tucked away in the world famous botanical gardens at Kew, to a CSI style control centre investigating an ancient murder. I like including hands on, experiential elements in my films to bring subjects to life - from recreating WWII dogfights, to trying out historic building techniques, from experimenting with novel food production for chef Raymond Blanc, to telling fascinating stories using cutting edge science, and charging round the countryside in an ancient chariot. I’ve filmed in many international locations – in particular China.I enjoy making complicated subjects accessible and engaging for the audience and am confident directing both actuality and presenter-driven pieces. I have worked with high-profile names including Michael Mosley, The Hairy Bikers, Raymond Blanc, Kate Humble, Monty Don, Tori Herridge and Andrew Marr as well as first time presenters. As Series Producer, I've been a key editorial point of contact for the commissioning editor, managed a large team and been responsible for coordinating large-scale, logistically challenging shoots.
