I am an award winning, self shooting PD with 20 years experience. I specialise in delivering complex films from remote corners of the world. I am HEFAT trained and I've filmed in many war zones.

My credits include PD'ing a 30 minute fast turnaround for Channel 4 on how President Trump won the 2024 election in the US, which mixed archive and interviews and was broadcast the day the result was announced. I've also been a self-shooting PD on four Unreported Worlds for Channel 4, one in Mauritania, one in Kenya, one in Nigeria and one in South Sudan. I've also directed four 30 minute investigations for Al Jazeera's People and Power strand - one on AI, one on Crypto and one on Drones and the Future of War. I PD'd a Channel 4 Dispatches on the vaccine roll out in 2021. I've also made dozens and dozens of short form docs for Channel 4 News, on huge range of subjects, from mental health in schools to illegal logging in Estonia. I've filmed in hospitals, with the police and undercover. 

I've worked on dozens of other films - from an hour long documentary on Channel 4 on Thomas Cook which was shot in under a week, to a film on Snow Leopards for the BBC shot in Mongolia, to the illegal wildlife trade in Myanmar for Al Jazeera. I also shot an episode for the Netflix docu-series, Inside the World's Most Dangerous Prisons, in Moldova. I've worked a DoP and cameraman on several other films, including various Dispatches and other investigations for ITV. 

I can shoot on a wide variety of cameras such as Sony FS7s, FX9s, FX6s, Canon C300s, C70s, Black magic cinema cameras and DSLRs. I have filmed and set up shoots all across the world, from Brazil, to Ukraine, to Somalia, to Gaza, to Papua New Guinea. I have worked on films for a range of clients including Netflix, Channel 4 and the BBC.

I come from a journalism background so have an excellent current affairs knowledge, and am very comfortable working and directing talent. Through my work at Channel 4 News I have covered numerous sensitive subjects and have learnt to build relationships quickly and effortlessly with contributors. I spent three years living and working in Kenya and covering Eastern and Central Africa, before spending two years in Thailand, covering South East Asia. I am now based in Oxford, UK, but happy to travel anywhere across the world. Read Less
