I’m a Shooting PD with over 15 years’ experience working on observational and presenter-led documentaries. I’m known for consistently shooting to a high DOP standard, capable of lighting beautiful master interviews, and possessing an instinctive ability to capture unfolding scenes.
 
I’ve spent months at sea filming in tight environments with commercial fishermen, which has honed my sense of when to push contributors and when to step back to maintain strong relationships, a skill that’s served me well on land.  My films to date have been well received by commissioners, critics and contributors, and several projects have been recognised with awards and nominations from RTS, Bafta and Grierson.
 
I’m interested in telling a good story as much as the role I play. As well as shooting, I’m experienced directing large crews and working with other people’s rushes as an Edit Producer. I’m on the lookout for challenging SP,  PD, Series Director and Edit Producer roles.
 
-        I’ve taken all my PD credits though the edit, and have frequently overseen the online, dub and grade.

-        I have experience negotiating complex access and filming contracts (both UK and international).

-        I own a full FX6 kit and can use FX9, FS7, C300, RED, primes, gimbals, aerials, time-lapse, minicams.

-        International filming experience: US (current IVisa), lots of Europe, the Middle East, South America, East, West & Southern Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, and Australia.  

-        Experience filming in high seas, high altitude, in hot, cold, wet, dry, hostile, and uncomfortable places. 

-        CAA OA Drone License + 6 years flying experience. I own DJI P4 Pro and Mini 3. Read Less
