I have nearly 20 years’ experience making factual and documentary TV programmes for major broadcasters (BBC / Discovery / C4 / C5 / Nat Geo) – from obs-doc, to current affairs, investigations, features and formats. I have worked as a PD, self-shooter, and as a Series Producer - but now specialise in the area where I most excel, in the edit. For the past few years I have mostly been working on actuality-led access documentaries. 

Over the course of my career I have edit produced hundreds of hours of television - and have gained a reputation as someone who always delivers, to both a high standard, and on time. I love getting stuck into rushes, and pride myself on being decisive, and providing editors with neat, clear scripts to work with.  I especially enjoy using editing tools such as Blackbird or Avid to work the rushes and get the very best out of the storytelling, as well as speeding up the workflow between producer and editor. 

At Stampede Television I have been responsible for managing large teams of up to six edit suites, at Series Edit Producer, and Executive producer level across the company's "Contraband" family of programmes, following the work of US Customs and Border Agents. I am accustomed to giving notes, and problem-solving. I aim to be as supportive as possible to edit teams.  

I have extensive experience of seeing programmes through post-production, attending onlines, VO records, and final sign-offs. I am used to collaborating across production management, and post-production facilities to address any post workflow and scheduling issues as and when they arise. 

Through my career I have edit produced on a number of new formats, such as Contraband: Seized at Sea & Seized at the Airport (Executive producer), Britain’s Travel Chaos (Series Producer), Dog Detectives (Series Producer), Nightmare New Builds (PD and Edit Producer), Tomorrow’s food (edit producer) and Coast vs Country (Edit Producer).

I am also still happy to undertake regular "edit producer" roles, as I enjoy getting the opportunity to work directly with rushes. I also enjoy directing master interviews with crew if required. Read Less
