I'm a Bafta Award winning, Emmy nominated film-maker with an extensive track record in working across a wide variety of factual genres. Recently I have specialised in blue-chip Natural History projects, but my experience includes a range of specialist factual work (natural history, science, history, arts), ob docs, and factual formats. Linking all this work is an ability to tell compelling stories, that maintain narrative drive and use emotion to grip an audience. Having worked across a variety of genres I am able to deploy a range of skills to tell stories in a variety of ways, using innovation and ideas from one genre to infuse and improve the approach in different fields. In short I am not a one-trick pony, but a true polymath of story-telling. My credits as a Series Producer include Gorilla Family & Me (BBC2), Walking Through History (C4), Beyond Boundaries (BBC2) and Scrapheap Challenge (C4). As a PD my credits include blue-chip natural history films (Titan, Tiny Planet - Apple TV+) a feature length documentary (The Secret Life Of The Airport - FIVE), a lot of non-blue-chip natural history films (Discovery and BBC), features programmes (CountryFile, Secret Britain (BBC), survival formats (Man Vs. Wild (Discovery)) and character driven documentaries. I have also developed several pilots and taster tapes which have gone on to garner commissions. I am a highly talented self-shooter and have worked with many professional and prosumer cameras, including the Sony F55, FS7, PMW500, the Canon C300 and the Panasonic Varicam 2700. I am fast, efficient, and very good at constructing visually arresting, narrative driven films. I can work across a multitude of genres and create work that appeals to a variety of audiences.
