While working as part of an Art Department on a variety of roles I have learnt how to get a set ready for production. Moving and organising furniture and fittings, adapting the equipment available to suit requirements and if not improvising and readjusting. I can assemble, set up, dismantle and store scenery safely according to Health and safety requirements. I have learnt different techniques to produce a variety of food and drinks to look realistic and to be useable on set. I feel I have a good eye for detail and apply this to my ongoing work, I have helped make props as and when required and always use my own initiative. I am fully aware of the health and safety issues required on a working set and apply this to all of my work on a daily basis. I have good manual handling skills and the physical ability to undertake a full range of duties as required.Since graduating in summer 2015, I have been working on the Hollyoaks set as a Freelance Stagehand / Dresser. I have a gained a greater understanding of the Production system and the confidentiality required while working on set and feel I have gained experienced in many different areas. Working with the Art Directors and Standby props, I help to arrange each set as required, moving equipment also helping to make and organise props to suit requirements. I working to a strict timetable getting each set ready for the production team, always understanding timing is paramount. From November 2018 I have been stepping up to cover Standby Props when needed by the team, this is giving me more responsibility and experience with in the art department and production team.In May and June 2017 I worked on a German Feature film production ‘Charlotte Link - Cheated’ by ‘Andreas Link’, based in and around Liverpool, Widnes and Wales. Working as a Freelance Art department Assistant supporting the Stand by Props, purchasing and producing props for set as by the Arts Directors instruction, then dressing the sets ready for the crew. Maintaining petty cash account for purchase requests and often being sent out to source items daily. I learnt many new skills and how to improvise with different techniques to produce the require look and feel, as requested by the Art Director.I am punctual and conscientious employee and feel I have the ability to adapt my experiences to a demanding production set, I consider myself a professional and have the understanding from my experiences that confidentiality while working on any production is paramount. I am enthusiastic and proactive with a very helpful and flexible approach, I realise you have to judge the working day and stay on task with the team to finish any given job as required. I feel working on various productions over the last 3 year I have gained great interpersonal and communication skills with a good sense of humour and the ability to work with people at every level with ease.I am enthusiastic and always willing to learn and develop myself, I feel this is essential to enable myself to keep current in this ever changing area of Television Production. As well as achieving my degree, while at school I studied Art and Product Design at GCSE level, producing and making my own designs and Art work to a high standard.I have a full clean Driving licence, I would be willing to participate in a HGV licence if required
