I am a highly experienced film editor & PD with hundreds of films to my credit over a 25 year career. Having started off in the commercials world in Soho, London, I have worked on a wide variety of shows from Sports, Factual Ent, Music docs and lots of Natural History. I am comfortable in any genre - story is what gets me going! Many of these films have been award winners and I was honoured to have been one of the BAFTA award winning editing team on Frozen Planet for the BBC. I've often been the lead editor on many first-run shows, shaping the style and format - such as Watch Out, Big Cat Diary, Deadly 60 and Great Bear Stakeout. Fast, decisive and fun to be with, I love teamwork and the art of storytelling through cutting. I am thoroughly proficient with Avid, FCP and the Adobe CC family, happy to use whatever tool is best for the project.I'm also an experienced director/producer too. Having spent so much time in the cutting room, I know what is needed to tell a compelling story. In the field I adapt to the story in front of me and am quick to decide on the most cost-effective solution to a problem. I work tirelessly to get the highest quality images on screen, always up-to-date with the latest technology. My passion for stills photography means that Im always on the look out for the right composition for the job in hand, and those editing skills mean that Im on the case for cutaways, time lapses and all those extra shots that make the storyI have worked extensively abroad, from Antarctica, Alaska, Sri Lanka, Iceland and the plains of Africa and am very capable in challenging situations. By nature, I am habitually curious, I have a deep love and wide practical knowledge of wildlife and the world around us. I am very good at getting on and working with people, presenters and contributors, and love hearing the story behind the person. I have a full UK driving licence, and first aid trained.
