To enhance my experience, I completed a year long development diploma at The National Film and Television School in 2024. I came up with original ideas to match a brief, created and cut a sizzle and wrote a pitch deck.

I am an experienced self-shooting journalist with experience of live studio and outside broadcasts and have worked across consumer, crime and current affairs programmes.
On the BBC Wales consumer programme X-Ray, I found and researched original stories, organised filming locations, sourced archive material and found and interviewed contributors. In the role of researcher I developed self-shooting skills on the Sony FX6, and later FS7, which gained me the credit of shooting researcher and later shooting director, before moving up to producer. I also undertook complex research as part of investigations and used a secret filming kit to record undercover reporting. I also wrote risk assessments and liaised with editorial policy on shoots.
When I worked on Crimewatch Roadshow, I ensured the live programme ran smoothly in the role of studio AP. There was a lot of preparation that went into setting up the 15 live broadcasts and key to this was being organised and the ability to work across a range of stories and tasks simultaneously. I found interesting new content that worked on studio items and outside broadcasts and assisted during reconstruction filming to ensure accuracy of police appeals.
I have been on active police operations with Crimewatch, trading standards operations with X-Ray, and on patrol with private security services for Morning Live.
I have edit produced and over seen online edits, as well as having experience of rough cutting packages on Avid and cutting radio packages for BBC Sounds.
Before making the move into broadcast, I worked on a regional newspaper working my way up from reporter to newsroom editor, and completing my NCTJ qualifications. I have experience of leading a team, decision making and editing copy, while being mindful of ethical considerations, accuracy and media law.
