About Me
I edit. I produce. Occasionally at the same time. Experienced across genres. Good with story, collaborative and engaged. Good track record in making successful development sizzles and helping projects that have struggled to find their flow get over the finish line.Professional Training

James came to the project late, but very quickly caught up with the editorial. We were using archive to tell non-linear wildlife stories. James had to select stories to fit in with his episodes from a mountain of archive and managed this task admirably, cutting through the chaff efficiently. He structured his shows expertly, worked cooperatively with the series writer and delivered his shows on time and budget. He was a joy to work with.
James is a hugely talented director whose passion for television shine through in the shows he produces. He is visually experimental and editorially savvy...and a delight to work with.
If... when... our voluntary sector project receives its funding and begins to deliver what our post-Covid community so desperately needs, it will be due in no small measure to James' intelligence, insight and prodigious skillset.
Everyone who has so far seen our 5-minute video has been blown away by the way James watched, listened, asked, understood, and then reflected back the absolute essence of what we're about. He wrote the brief in consultation with us, shot the footage, created and narrated the script, produced and edited. He even returned during a family holiday to repeat some drone footage because he wasn't quite satisfied with the first attempt.
On top of all that, he's a delight to work with; personable, pleasant, with an easy manner that draws out people's on-camera stories, yet totally committed to the result. We would engage James to run any future video project in a heartbeat.
