Mike is an experienced and flexible Writer, Series Producer, Producer/Director & EP. He is known for creating content that makes complex ideas accessible and entertaining.  Summary: For 2023/4 Mike was Series Documentary Director on the 6 Part NETFLIX series Alexander:The Making of a God.  2020/21 Mike was VFX Director on the 3 part Curiosity Stream series: "The Secrets to Civilization" for Impossible Factual and Producer/Director (UK) on Stranger than Fiction's: "Fungi:Web of Life" with Merlin Sheldrake. In 2018/19 Mike was Series Director on National Geographic Explorer Albert Lin's "Lost Cities"- 6 high-tech missions to unearth the stories behind the world's most mysterious ruins. In 2016/17 Mike was co-creator/series director & E.P. on the 6-part series ‘Mummies Alive’ (History/Smithsonian), he also produced & directed ‘Drain the Ocean - World War II’ (National Geographic) and co-produced & directed the IMAX/ Giant Screen feature doc "Amazon Adventure" – “a triumph...breath-taking visuals with an equally memorable story of discovery” - Variety April 2017. Previously Mike directed the 90-minute science fiction feature ‘The Great Martian War’ (History/EOne), ‘Robots’ with Simon Pegg (NGC), ‘How to Build a Planet’ Richard Hammond (BBC1) Samuel L Jackson in Discovery’s Curiosity (series 1 Ep 7) and the 3D IMAX ‘Wild Africa’ Helena Bonham-Carter (BBC Earth).  Mike’s projects have received Ace, Panda, Lumiere and Emmy awards and been Oscar shortlisted, BAFTA nominated and won twice at the Jackson Hole Film Festival and Wildscreen.
