REFERENCE: MIA LANE, DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE Mia Lane worked for me at Two Rivers as a Development Executive when we were first setting up the Entertainment team in 2019. She is a brilliant developer – particularly in the areas of formatted entertainment, comedy entertainment and fact ent. As a former commissioner she understands both sides of the development process and knows how to tailor a pitch to a channel’s brief. During the time she was at Two Rivers I had to travel between London and Glasgow frequently as I was relocating to Scotland. Mia and I often had to work remotely but this did not hamper her creativity or output – she was equally effective working alone or collaboratively when we were together. In her time at Two Rivers we secured development funding and an international distribution deal for a prime time singing format and got another factual entertainment series into paid development. Mia can write, edit sizzles and create great treatments. She has good contacts at commissioning level and with agents. Any development team would be lucky to have her.
