I am an award winning Shooting Producer Director / Series Director and highly skilled self-shooter of documentary series and singles for the BBC, Channel 4, FIVE, Nat Geo and Sky. My credits include Chris Packham - In Search of The Lost Girl, which was nominated for an RTS award, and War on Plastics which is an RTS SW Winner.  Most recently I’ve been PDing on Saving Lives in Cardiff and Sarah Beeny’s New Life in The Country, and Series Directing on Highland Cops. I love making powerful documentaries that provoke and entertain - I always strive to tell people's stories and to explore their unique worlds in a way that finds warmth and humanity.
 
On top of the working on stand out TV series – Hospital, Saving Lives at Sea, Cornwall – This Fishing Life, One Born Every Minute - I’ve also directed the highly successful single docs In Search of The Lost Girl, World’s Most Expensive Toys and The Girl Who Never Ate, all of which received rave reviews.

·      Skilled at directing both observational & features doc – I am equally confident shooting to a script, or filming entirely observationally, I believe my ability to mix up these skills to be a real asset as I can quickly adapt to unanticipated events.

·      Highly skilled at filming observationally on prime lenses - predominantly on the Sony FX6 / FX9. I am instinctively able to capture real life events as they unfold. I also shoot and light master interviews using eye direct. 
 
·      Filming overseas / challenging environments – I’ve filmed in rainforests, mountain, desert environments and at sea, often on my own and with a crew. I’ve worked for long periods in the USA, Middle East and SE Asia. Hostile environment trained.
 
·      Strong narrative and scripting skills – in addition to taking almost all my films through the edit I’ve also worked extensively as an Edit Producer across repeat series, being brought in on occasion mid edit to reshape cuts to get them over the finish line.
 
·      On top of my TV work I volunteer, and am looking to expand into making documentaries that tackle the issues surrounding the climate crisis – so I am looking to develop documentary projects that will bring powerful climate stories to global attention. 
 
I am Bristol based but am also able to work out of London. I am very happy to be based for the duration of a shoot in all regions of the UK, and to undertake long filming trips abroad. British and Irish passport holder.
