I am an experienced, dynamic and versatile Junior Production Manager with over 15 years’ experience in broadcast media.
Most recently, I worked across the first two series of Big Cats 24/7, a highly successful blue-chip observational documentary filmed on location in the Okavango Delta, Botswana for the BBC Natural History Unit, broadcast on BBC 2 and PBS.
The first series was delivered at a particularly fast pace, with pre-production, production and post-production all completed within a year. The second series was commissioned and in production before the first had been delivered and transmitted, requiring me to oversee post-production deliverable and ‘dynamic’ marketing deliverables on one series while simultaneously setting up filming for the next. Although challenging, it was a hugely rewarding experience. As due to the complexity of the production, I was given a high level of autonomy, significantly expanding my skills across all areas of production management. During this time, I mentored a Production Secretary who was new to television, and, due to budget constraints, worked closely with the shooting researcher to manage a complex and constantly evolving equipment list without the support of a dedicated camera or technical assistant.
I have extensive experience in:·
Equipment planning and logistics - Liaising with the editorial team and rental companies on complex kit requirements· Scheduling and budgeting·
