Hi! I'm Alexis. I've been editing since I was 12 using two VCRs cabled to each other. Now I work on Avid (which can be just as fiddly as 2 VCRs), and Premiere (which is just as stable).

As of late I have taken on more managerial roles as I love working with systems; setting them up and troubleshooting them when they inevitably don't work exactly as intended. I'm also pretty good with people and cats, but I tend to mostly manage people. I also dislike waste and am always looking out for new ways to strameline post whilst saving on budgets which means I, for one, welcome our new AI overlords.

When editing I'm very focused and narrative oriented with my edits, and try to always get a human story and personable feel in it. I'm also a bit of a nerd when it comes to the technical side of it, which is why I enjoy assistant editing a lot. Don't ask me to talk about codecs, or expect a 3 hour long rant complete with powerpoint presentations. Read Less
