I'm a passionate, visually creative director and producer with an impressive track record of hard-hitting, revelatory documentary film-making. My filmography includes the award-winning Netflix series THE LOST PIRATE KINGDOM (4 weeks in top 5 shows in the US). As Lead Director I devised the show's visual style and directed the first two episodes of the 6 x 50 which featured fully scripted drama set against animated 4K rear projection to tell the true story of eighteenth century pirates of the Caribbean. Other significant achievements include series directing the landmark 6 x 60, HITLER:THE RISE AND FALL for AHC/More4, which received multiple documentary Emmy nominations. My drama-doc catalogue includes a recent episode of the iconic BANGED UP ABROAD, the headline-grabbing AUTOPSY: THE LAST HOURS OF MARILYN MONROE for Five and FINAL 24: SID VICIOUS the tragic story of punk icon Sid Vicious's life and death; there's also the recent FATAL AFFAIRS and WEB OF LIES for Discovery ID, BREAKING THE BAND (Reelz) and SECONDS FROM DISASTER for Nat Geo. I have extensive experience of presenter-led programming, the highlight, series directing the 'unmissable' ALAN WHICKER'S JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME for BBC, the bradcasting legend's last televisual journey.  A recent trip with Guardian restaurant critic Grace Dent into the expanding Greggs' empire for INSIDE GREGGS: 24/7 (Five/Netflix) was also unforgettable. A feature length history of Tinseltown, HOLLYWOOD AUTOPSY, was a true passion project; as was producing/ directing episodes on the battles for Iwo Jima and Okinawa for hit Netflix series WORLD WAR TWO IN COLOUR: ROAD TO VICTORY. Modern history remains a fascination; music and sport are obsessions (especially football and cricket). I've extensive expertise directing both large-scale Special and Visual Effects. I have credits for all major UK broadcasters and much recent success working for US networks and streamers (Netflix, Discovery, Nat Geo, Smithsonian).
