I obtained transferable skills and joined two years ago; working diligently from runner to Editorial. In essence, my career plan is to provide entertainment and be part of the Editorial team that delivers it.I’m currently working at Eagle Films as their Development Coordinator and I’ve recently finished working at Blueprint Pictures as their Development Assistant. I’ve been lucky in both roles to work with inspiring writers and learn from a talented team. I really enjoy working across the entire editorial process, being a part of the process which brings out the best in the story. I have experience in coordinating a busy slate turning around scripts, providing notes to the writer, sitting in on story lining meetings taking notes and providing ad-hoc research. Having been mentored by Dominic Treadwell-Collins I’m able to offer brevity and thoughtful notes.My first role working with scripts was at Holby City as their Script Coordinator where I learnt how to use Final Draft sufficiently, working with the writers and the production team to deliver a finalised script to cast/crew. I was asked to research topics for upcoming scripts and track clearance issues. Before Holby City, I worked on the set of Midsomer Murders, where I gained experience in continuity within storylines and episodes. I learnt about the different departments within a production and how the script impacts each of them. Before Midsomer, I worked on The Crown (Netflix) in their busy production office alongside the script editors, supporting the team. Here I learnt the impact script amendments can have on the production side and how to pre-empt or minimise this.I’ve been in the TV industry for almost 4 years and know this where I’m meant to be. I’m hard working, a fast learner and have a passion for telling not only a riveting story but the right story for our time and trend.
