I am a wildlife cameraman based in Highland Scotland with over 10 years' experience filming wildlife in Scotland and abroad. I have worked on major productions including David Attenborough's Wild Isles and I have worked regularly as a camera op on Springwatch. I specialise in long lens filming and hide work but also have experience shooting sync, working with on-screen talent and live outside broadcast. I am very happy working in harsh environments with experience filming Arctic foxes in winter in Iceland and lynx in the forests of Russia. I am particularly fond of filming wildlife in cold, northern climes. I often work alone, in hides (eagle nests are a speciality!) but I also have experience working at a faster pace as part of a team, for example on Springwatch and Gordon Buchanan's '...and Me' series. I am an experienced traveller: in a previous life I worked as an adventure guidebook researcher / author (Himalayas, Patagonia, Canada, Iceland) and a wildlife ranger on a remote Highland estate (Knoydart).
