I am a versatile self-shooting Series Producer/Director with over 25 years experience.

BAFTA nominated, I have led teams, both large and small, making a diverse range of programmes – from flower shows to the bomb squad. In 2022, my production won the AIB Award for “Best Historical Documentary." I have filmed all over the UK and 49 other countries and, hostile environments trained, worked in warzones (Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan) , deserts (Namibia, Iraq) , jungles (Amazon, Guatemala, Borneo) and the Arctic .

I am used to making films and series with complex editorial, legal and sensitive access issues and have negotiated filming with large institutions, presidents and royalty.  I have excellent editorial judgement and strong story telling/ scripting skills. I have directed a wide variety of formats including drama reconstruction (Tankies; Royal Wives At War); observational documentary (Bomb Squad, In Search of the Snake Kings)) , presenter - led docs (Jonathan Ross, David Dimbleby, Tony Robinson , Prof Alice Roberts, etc) , and archive heavy docs with interviews (D - Day Minute by Minute, The Iran - Iraq War).

An accomplished self-shooter, I have been operating cameras since the introduction of Mini-DV. I have my own Sony FX9, am a CAA accredited drone operator and shoot/ direct on most of my productions, even when Series Producing.

I have made series for all the main UK Terrestrial Channels, American Networks such as Netflix, PBS , Nat Geo , Discovery and Middle Eastern Broadcasters. Read Less
