Read MoreI have been working in TV and film for the last ten years. After completing my masters at Bournemouth University in Producing for TV and Film, I was lucky enough to be employed for nearly two years at Woodcut Media. During my time there I have worked as a Researcher, Archive Researcher, Production Co-ordinator and Assistant Producer. I found my niche in development and worked in the development team to create a range of formats across various genres from crime to history.After leaving Woodcut, I moved to Cardiff and was employed on a freelance basis as a Development AP, mostly through contacts I have met whilst working in the industry. This allowed me to work on different formats including some game and quiz shows. After about 6 months, I moved back down south was employed by ITV Fixers working on news films and looking after the production management of 13 ITV regions.I have also worked as a researcher on the latest series of Tony Robinson's Ancient Tracks and was employed by Reach Plc until March 2020 to develop ideas for TV shows and drama for the UK and international market using our extensive archive as a basis. We had a great deal of success in the American market, where we developed three feature films.I also run a small production company with a friend and we work with organisers of big international comic con shows to create promotional videos. This involves interviewing high profile celebrities as well as punters and creating exciting, snappy films. We are also working on our own formats two of which are currently generating interest with international broadcasters.Prior to working in TV I was in advertising and marketing, I worked for several large companies as well as on a freelance basis in a consultative capacity.I am an easy-going, hardworking team player and I love working on new projects from conception to completion.
Read LessLiz is an exceptional AP, with a strong background in both development and production. With excellent organisational skills, Liz is able to set up all aspects of a shoot including risk assessments, health and safety and call sheets. She is also a thorough and meticulous researcher and able to script. Her ability to problem solve is second to none she would always find a way to come up with solutions to difficult or last minute problems. In terms of her development experience, it helps she is a big consumer of TV and online so is aware of current trends. Her writing is exceptional, being able to write punchy treatments that she can turn into exciting power points, coupled with presentation style being on par, too. Liz is a creative and highly regarded team player but can work unsupervised if needed. She will be an asset to any production she goes onto.
