Many years of experience as an editor in long form factual television, mostly these days working on documentary and specialist factual programmes. My long experience means I am a well organised, unflustered, easy to work with safe pair of hands. I am regularly praised for my speed and dexterity; willingness to ‘mine’ the rushes; and a light touch and elegant, non intrusive editing style. I enjoy working in partnership with the director or edit producer to shape the narrative and am also happy and able to work independently to help bring the project to life. I am also willing and able to work from home.
'During his time at MSP, Simon distinguished himself in many ways. His work was fast, intelligent and full of flair. He took charge of complicated edits, sometimes with the most minimal of supervision, and he turned difficult half-baked assemblies into truly impressive finished films in a remarkably short space of time. He was unfailingly positive and collegiate despite the many pressures of remote working, and the ticking clock of a very tight schedule. It’s no exaggeration to say that he will be the first person we hire when we get another series.' Phil Craig, Creative Director, MSPTV.

Simon Warner worked as an editor for us on Phil Spencer's Stately Homes. As is normal these days, the edit time was tight and various people wanted editorial input. This did not phase Simon. He was able to work well and importantly fast under pressure. He also offered up suggestions, and music choices. I am happy to recommend Simon as an Avid editor and a good team player. Tricia Cooklin
