From 2020 to 2024 I worked at Blink Industries, starting as a Development Producer before being promoted to the Head of Comedy Development. I spearheaded and developed a range of exciting projects from live-action sitcoms and adult animation series to horror and comedy features. I led on Channel 4, Adult Swim and BBC commissions, and paid developments from Netflix. In 2023 I developed Sam Campbell’s “Make That Movie”, produced the pilot, and my successful series pitch secured Blink Industries its first ever live-action commission.
For the last eight years I have also run my own live comedy production company, Country Mile Productions. I have produced and directed over 35 live comedy shows across the UK. Our shows have been nominated three times for the Edinburgh Comedy Award, won Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe, and been listed in the ‘Best Live Comedy Shows’ lists of the last three years from the Guardian, Times and Telegraph - including Liz Kingsman’s hit “One-Woman Show”, which went on to have successful West End and Off-Broadway runs; and other acts worked with include Ania Magliano, John Tothill, Britney, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Lorna Rose Treen and Nic Sampson. My live work has allowed me to create close working relationships with a wide range of comedians.
Between my TV and live comedy work, I am able to utilise my creative, organisational and communication skills, and my great passion and instinct for a comedy-first approach: gag-driven comedy that blends relatable characters and stories with a twist of the alternative, whilst never losing sight of the laughs and the mainstream.
