About Me
Emily is an exceptional talent. I've had the pleasure of working closely with her across several projects, and she brings a rare combination of editorial sharpness and calm, can-do energy to everything she touches. Emily has a great instinct for storytelling, a clear eye for talent, and is deeply collaborative, always focused on making the best programme possible while fostering a supportive and inspiring working environment. She’s an absolute asset to any production team, and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again.
I worked with Emily on Fern Britton: Inside the Vets. She is an excellent producer and is one of the loveliest people you could share an edit suite with.
I've worked with Emily across a couple of very different editorial projects and she is a very collaborative producer who works hard to keep all stakeholders of the production guided and informed. Time and time again she displays great editorial judgement, and is a real team player with a strong eye for what makes a strong element of the editorial. Her strengths are also in development, casting and scripting.
Emily and I worked together on a series for Sky Arts - Backstage with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Emily played a large part in casting our musicians and then working with me on the content. We wanted to tell the narrative in the musicians’ own words, not relying on any voice-over or presenter driving the story. As this was an access series, we wanted the narrative to really be from ‘backstage’, to get that intimate feel, really understanding what the musicians go through in their drive to succeed in such a competitive creative industry, to how they went about preparing for a major symphony and what they found special about the music they were performing.
Emily was brilliant at organising the research phone calls and then interviewing the instrumentalists and conductor on camera.
In addition, she was totally across all the scheduling and even offered up her own chair from home, when I said I needed a colourful chair for our interviewees. And lugged it to all our locations!
I thoroughly recommend Emily. She’s a true professional, handling the musicians and conductor with aplomb, as well as nurturing the Assistant Producers and Researcher working alongside her.
Emily is creative, highly personable and extremely diligent. I would work with her again in a heartbeat.

Emily is an exceedingly bright, resourceful and tenacious woman, who came to me notionally as a 'junior researcher' and swiftly proved herself to be hugely capable beyond her experience. It is no exaggeration to say that she was able to offer as much editorial input and as many creative options as the two assistant producers on our team - which speaks volumes to Emily's abilities. She takes a real pride in her work, she has great attention to detail, she's always thinking of what plan B might be, and her desire to learn coupled with her capacity to understand means that any shortcomings that might present themselves by virtue of her experience level are easily and quickly overcome. In short, Emily is a very impressive talent and I would not think twice about employing her as a key researcher on any team that I was building.
Having worked with Emily on a highly pressurised production over the course of three and a half months, I can confidently say she is an excellent researcher in every way. Extremely bright, organised and dedicated, she will explore all avenues leaving no stone unturned, deliver what's needed within extremely short deadlines, at the same time as having a sound understanding of narrative along with the producer's editorial aims. In spite of her slim experience I cannot recommend her highly enough. I firmly believe she will be a safe pair of hands on any factual production.
Emily has worked tirelessly for us and has comes up top trumps every time. I don't doubt that she was smash any task I ask of her, whether that's finding unique contributors, perfect locations or helping out on location. She's dedicated, enthusiastic, keen and a pleasure to work with.
