I’m a BAFTA winning Shooting PD and EP based in Glasgow. I have a proven track record of producing and directing content for prime time slots; building sequences into coherent and engaging vignettes that compliment the story as a whole. In the edit, I thrive on scripting to an editorial brief on heavily formatted shows, but I also enjoy the freedom of improvising when the opportunity comes up. I am able to confidently extract information from a contributor in a way that the audience understands and ultimately enjoys. Depending on the project this often involves negotiating tricky subject matter, where the story matters more than technical jargon or complicated family politics. I have great instinct editorially and I love working in candid situations with contributors, taking pride in my ability to make people feel comfortable and relish in an energetic filming environment especially. I enjoy working solo as well as part of a large team in fast changing working conditions. I am very technically proficient; having worked almost exclusively with the latest camera/lighting/audio systems since starting my career and I pride myself on continuously delivering excellent images while also capturing clear, uninterrupted audio.
