I am a very experienced producer and director in documentaries. I have over twenty years experience in both directing, edit producing and executive producing. I am great at structuring programmes in the edit and cutting material from different sources. I am used to working in both observational and specialist factual programming and drama. I have written and directed two drama short films, which have premiered at international film festivals. My recent documentary work includes two films in a series about the history of the conflict in Yemen.  I have produced and directed on several high profile, big budget films.  Including the The Windsors; Inside a Royal Dynasty for CNN which required negotiating access, dealing with sensitive interviewees and combining drama reconstruction and archive. I have also built up a track record edit producing in specialist factual films. Recent credits include edit director for a CNN series about Diana, Princess of Wales, and edit producer on presenter led history films with Dan Snow and Michael Portillo for Channel Five, The Secrets of Tutankhamun for National Geographic and a two hour drama documentary on Eva Braun. Other credits include the rating success Inside Buckingham Palace, and Inside Windsor Castle for Channel 5. In all these films I have brought together archive, dramatic reconstruction and interviews to make a compelling narrative. I'm a practised writer and I can put together a development document, and a commentary script with ease. I have mainly directed high profile single documentaries for Channel Four, ITV and BBC. I can negotiate access, and handle sensitive areas well, (programmes made have included documentaries on bullied children and women undergoing IVF). I have made both specialist factual and observational documentaries. Some of my credits include Cutting Edge on Channel Four, observational documentaries for ITV and high profile history films for Channel Four. As an executive producer I developed projects for commissioners, making taster tapes and securing the commissions. I was also overseeing a variety projects, including American co-productions, and singles for the BBC, ITV, and Channel 5. As a director I have worked on both observational documentary and docudrama. I have experience in scripting and directing the drama and working with actors. I have also run training courses for young people in documentary film making, and have written drama scripts for radio, TV and theatre.  I have a current i visa for filming work in the USA. Read Less
