I’ve worked extensively in sensitive environments with tricky access and I can quickly develop good relationships with contributors and get the best out of them. As well as filming in hospitals, police stations and prisons, I’ve directed talent. I'm a confident shooter (FX9, FX6, FX3 with variety of lenses including primes) and I try and think of visual and interesting ways to tell a story.

As well as shooting actuality, I’m equally experienced scripting shoots, shooting glossy and stylised sequences and master interviews and producing them up. I’ve directed multi-cam shoots with DOPs and led editorial teams. In the edit I’m resourceful, have a quick grasp of story and I work incredibly hard to squeeze as much as possible from the rushes.

I’ve directed on specialist factual documentaries like Surgeons: at the Edge of Life (BBC2) which I series directed last year. I’ve also directed on numerous factual entertainment shows like The Island with Bear Grylls (C4) where I was embedded on a desert island for 5 weeks. So I have mixed experience working on both observational documentaries as well as more constructed formats. I directed my first single 2 years ago Where have all the lesbians gone? (Channel 4) and I filmed, directed and produced Amol Rajan goes to the Ganges (BBC1) in 2025. I’ve directed on BAFTA and Grierson nominated series. Read Less
