A highly skilled senior-level Producer / Director & Edit Producer with 25 years' experience of location & edit work.
In 2024 I finished a feature-length documentary about the iconic 80s band Microdisney, who reformed for a series of sell-out gigs in London and Ireland after a 30-year absence. Produced and directed by me, the documentary features extensive use of archive, soul-searching interviews and live concert footage. Co-produced with World Productions for BBC4, it was met with glowing reviews.
Prior to that I spent nearly 3 years at OR Media as Reversioning Producer on a broad range of current affairs documentaries for Middle Eastern channels.
Broadcast credits as Edit Prod include series 2 of Homestead Rescue (Raw TV for Discovery), My Floating Home (Windfall for C4), series 1 of Posh Pawnbrokers (Boomerang for Channel 4); A Place in the Sun (Freeform for Channel 4), Escape to the Country (Boundless for BBC1) and Extreme Homes (Pioneer for HGTV).
My strong writing skills, great sense of timing and superb instinct for music make me an asset to any edit, along with my organisational skills and clear direction. I have worked on a number of first series and can be utterly relied on to strike the right tone (punchy, playful, witty, wry, sparse..). I have extensive experience of directing on location and getting the best out of presenters and contributors alike.
I speak fluent Italian, with good French and Spanish. When not working in TV I work as a translator, so I'm a natural choice for any foreign-language production. If you are adding subs to a foreign film, I will ensure they are translated into natural English for English-speaking audiences. Read Less
