I’m a passionate and highly experienced Science & Natural History Assistant Producer with nearly a decade of experience.

Since earning my Master’s in Wildlife Filmmaking from UWE in 2014, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, from low-budget fast-turnaround content, to prestigious blue-chip series. Most recently, I’ve worked as an Assistant Producer on the National Geographic/Disney+ series Sentient at Wildstar Films, executive-produced by Darren Aronofsky. This ambitious project combined natural history storytelling with human-focused sequences, and interviews with global experts. My role encompassed directing sequences worldwide—including macro, drone, long lens, camera trap, and rebreather shoots—as well as conducting in-depth interviews with scientists. Additionally, I edit-produced the first six weeks of an episode, as well as several behind-the-scenes sequences. 

Prior to this, I was a researcher on Netflix’s Life on Our Planet at Silverback Films where I helped to shape the series narrative from the start of the project. My responsibilities included developing memorable storylines, directing key sequences, and working with VFX teams to bring prehistoric worlds back to life. 

Both Sentient and Life on Our Planet were science-heavy productions that required distilling complex topics into accessible and engaging narratives. My unique perspective as a non-scientist allows me to identify compelling, relatable elements for television, yet by reading research papers, collaborating with experts, and extracting key information, I’ve consistently delivered stories that are captivating and engaging. 

My background in theatre, with a focus on character development and emotional storytelling, has significantly enhanced my ability to connect with audiences and bring stories to life. This experience has honed my skills in crafting compelling narratives, which translate into my work in natural history and science programming.

Throughout my career, I’ve directed shoots in some of the most challenging environments across the globe, collaborating with both seasoned DOPs and emerging camera talent along the way. I’ve had the privilege of filming a wide array of species, including amphibians, primates, reptiles, birds, invertebrates, octopus and other unique wildlife, as well as capturing intricate plant behaviors like Venus Flytraps in action.
