My career started in 2007 with ITV Entertainment on shows like You’ve Been Framed! and Coronation Streets’ 50th Anniversary. In 2012 CBBC’s Blue Peter gave me my first shooting role. Since then I’ve worked across high profile programmes for networks including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.In 2019 I completed two and a half years with MultiStory Media (formally Shiver) shooting across a variety of their output, including the ITV current affairs series Tonight, the UKTV American travelogue series David Jason: Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Rylan’s new BBC One fact/ent series You Are What You Wear.I have extensive experience identifying editorially strong stories and contributors, writing engaging scripts and ensuring the expected content is delivered on location. I have edit-produced VT’s and 30min & 60min programmes, all while liaising with SP’s.Having worked across so many factual series I have earned the reputation as a creative, reliable and confident PD with the understanding of complex compliance issues.Shooting on the Fx6, FS7 and C300 is second nature to me, as is using a range of prime lenses to cover actuality, directed content and interviews. I have monitored my own multi-channel sound and directed crews, three camera setups and high profile talent. I’m happy lighting areas for actuality and sit down interviews.Since 2016 I have vast experience organising filming abroad. This includes securing access to sacred native sites, organising air-to-air filming over major cities and dealing with multinational companies.I’m based in Manchester but I’m able to work almost anywhere, including Leeds, Liverpool and London.
