I'm described by others as a 'calm' PD who gives a team encouragement, focus and support. I have my own kit- FS7, lenses, lights, radio mics etc.

I've been filming broadcast since 1996 and used to a whole variety of filming work... animals, celebrity, reality, ob doc, formatted, daytime, night time, medical, and children.

As a P/D I understand my role is not just camera operator and sound recordist (and lighting, and Go Pro rigger), but also to produce and direct in varying degrees what is happening in front of the camera; sometimes alone, sometimes in a team.

I appreciate the work I do is for a customer- the production company, commissioner and channel, and the viewer. Read Less
