I strive to make beautifully crafted documentaries and drama-docs that are cinematic and thought provoking. A fully trained and experienced lighting cameraman before becoming a director, I've over 15 years of creative and technical experience, winning a Grierson award for Best Single Documentary and a BAFTA nomination for Best Specialist Factual. I tend to shoot most of my projects myself with my own kit, and also have long-standing collaborative relationships with some of the best editors, DoPs and composers. I've worked all over the world in extreme conditions and with sensitive contributors. Each project is an adventure which I approach with creativity, an easy going nature, and integrity.
