As Series Director of NETFLIX's four part series SWAMP KINGS, I led a team to craft an exhilarating portrait of one of America's elite football teams at the height of their dominance. Blending high-octane sporting drama and never-before-seen locker room footage, trusting relationships with players allowed me to uncover the personal stories, pressures and rivalries which defined their double championship streak. The series debuted at the #1 spot in Netflix's Top 10 list.
BLAIR & BROWN: THE NEW LABOUR REVOLUTION, BBC. My first film in the series explored the early relationship between the two young politicians, delving into the camaraderie and tension that would shape their political careers. Featuring interviews with both prime ministers and a cast of veteran insiders, the series was described as “a stirring, illuminating watch” and went on to win Best Documentary Series - Broadcasting Press Guild Awards.
During Afghanistan's bloodiest summer on record, INTO THE HORNET'S NEST - OUR WAR, BBC was described as ‘a film that has as much power and poignancy as an epic war movie.’ Transforming raw frontline helmet-cam footage into dramatic cinematic narrative, my film received a BAFTA nomination for Best Factual Director, while the series went on to win BAFTA Best Documentary Series.
Broadcast in September 2025, on the day convicted sex offender Christian Brueckner walked free, MADELEINE McCANN: SEARCHING FOR THE PRIME SUSPECT, ITV re-examined the evidence linking him to one of Britain’s most enduring missing-child cases, tracing Brueckner’s criminal past and building a detailed psychological profile of the prime suspect.
KYLE: THE GUNMAN WHO DIVIDED AMERICA, BBC. A multi-layered portrait of a divided America, reviewed "a startling film", by The Guardian. When a 17-year-old shoots three people at a Black Lives Matter protest in Wisconsin, he becomes a poster-boy for Second Amendment gun rights. With unprecedented access to Kyle Rittenhouse, the film explores the moral and cultural fault lines exposed by his actions and his murder trial - which ended in his acquittal.
For MURDER GAMES, BBC I was inspired by the moving testimony of Breck's close friends to write and direct a drama that explores online grooming from the perspective of young teens. Specifically, it tells the story of how an intelligent 14 year old was lured by his killer's web of lies. This film has an enduring education impact and continues to be screened in British schools as part of the PSHE curriculum.
For the drama documentary FIRST LADIES, CNN, large-scale period drama featuring up to 35 extras was used for a cinematic and bold revision of each woman’s traditional portrayal, showing how these women shaped American and global history from the White House. Narrated by Actress Robin Wright.
