Dan took a really thoughtful, intelligent approach to our true-crime-style character-led format - offering up visually creative solutions and adding flare and attitude to the rushes he was provided with.

He brought his instinctively filmic sensitivities to bear on some rather complex content - and his film about organised crime was one of the highlights of the series.
