With master’s degrees in both science and film, I’m a story-driven factual Producer/Director and Edit Producer fortunate to frequently drive projects from initial development and casting through to production and into the edit. I specialize in science, natural history, adventure, and other specialist factual content and bring extensive experience in character-driven documentary.

I’m dedicated to using innovative storytelling to bring new scientific discoveries and natural behaviours to light and develop creative ideas in tandem with supporting scientific technologies and novel camera setups to facilitate storylines.

Experienced in collaborating with top-tier talent, scientific experts, and first-time contributors alike, I’m skilled at quickly building rapport and trust to bring out the best possible performances and build long-term relationships.

I love deep diving into any specialist factual subject during development, engaging comfortably in detailed discussions with scientists across various disciplines. With a talent for distilling complex scientific information into clear, accessible notes or transforming intricate concepts into visual storytelling, I am especially adept at working with scientists to unearth contributor-led stories or distinctive natural history characters. I’m eager to take on projects that tackle complex science or pressing environmental issues head-on.

My extensive foreign filming experience includes working with indigenous communities, translators, and navigating logistical challenges such as roadless locations, remote camps, and extreme conditions. With over a decade of international production experience, I have also lived and worked in North America and South Africa, maintaining valuable industry contacts across these regions.

My work has contributed to Grierson and Wildscreen-nominated content and has been part of Emmy, Royal Television Society, and Webby award-winning series. I also have experience working on international co-productions.
