I have a passion for popular factual programming and have been privileged to work on many incredible programmes, all of which told a unique story to the viewing public. My drive to produce the best content is undiminished - as a commissioner I oversee a vast range of productions including BBC1's The Repair Shop, BBC2's Great British Menu, Saturday Kitchen, Escape to the Country, Frontline Fightback, Defenders UK, Farmer's Country Showdown etc. I've worked in the industry for around 30 years and before becoming a commissioner I was a creative, inspiring series producer, with a flair for producing and directing top quality programmes, including the RTS Award winning special “Living with Michael Jackson’, watched by 155 million people worldwide. My experience covers live and recorded programming, in a range of genres from lifestyle, to factual entertainment, to current affairs. A highly trained journalist, I have over-seen both large and small teams, and enjoy meeting and working with new and small suppliers every bit as much as larger companies.
