I specialise in observational, human-interest stories with character driven narratives, shot with visual flair and technical expertise, often in hostile environments. I have extensive experience in gaining access to and shooting hard to tell stories; working with vulnerable and challenging contributors from diverse backgrounds, across the globe.

As a documentary director I specialise in projects of a jounalistic nature; navigating tough access and challenging terrains, my passion lies in capturing the raw essence of human experiences, shedding light on compelling narratives that resonate with a wide audience. My commitment to authentic storytelling and the pursuit of truth drives me to uncover and share stories that challenge perspectives and inspire change.

My skill as a camera operator has been honed over many years, enabling me to capture the essence of stories in challenging environments. I possess a keen eye for composition, lighting, and the nuances that breathe life into each frame. Whether navigating hostile terrains or documenting human interest stories, my technical proficiency is complemented by a deep understanding of storytelling through visuals. This skill allows me to convey the emotional depth of narratives with authenticity, ensuring that every shot serves the overarching purpose of compelling and impactful storytelling. I shoot across a wide range of cameras, embracing every advance in technology and equipment to add on screen value.

I have worked on projects from early development through to delivery, shaping projects for a range of broadcasters and online platforms. I have directed both single and multicam crews on location and in a studio setting as well as fixed rig scenarios.

I have taken both my own and other peoples projects through the edit, often running multiple edits at once on fast turnaround schedules.

I am hostile environment and first aid trained, with a valid I-Visa to film in the US.  Read Less
