I am a broadcast journalist by background, with a particular interest in assessing the impact of public policy and politics on everyday life.

I have spent recent years in more of an online reporting role as one of the network of BBC-funded local democracy reporters, covering one of the largest councils in the country.

However, my heart still lies in the broadcast sector and I have a longstanding ambition to work in long-form documentary and current affairs programming, which I believe remains an integral part of the journalistic landscape - especially in an age when both content and audiences are increasingly fragmented.

I'm experienced in producing on-the-day reports and crafting broader investigations - always relishing the opportunity to develop original angles and striving to create distinctive, meaningful journalism.  

I'm also a strong supporter of plurality of production in the broadcast industry, believing it is key to maintaining high standards.
