In the Spring of 2024, I concluded directing and producing the Frozen/Arctic episode of ‘The Americas’, a ten-part natural history series for the BBC and NBC Universal, just in time to have my son, Thomas. Over my twelve-year career I have worked on a range of factual entertainment programming, specialising in natural history, science, and educational documentaries, and I have also often worked on personal projects focusing on human-interest stories alongside my day-to-day work. I am experienced in interviewing, scripting, edit-producing, shoot planning, expedition risk assessment, developing treatments, sourcing-stories, liaising with contributors and scientists, and researching/procuring archive footage. I am confident with access and contract negotiation, sound recording and second camera work for B-roll and behind-the-scenes content. I have led UK and international shoots, most recently remote expeditions, including in the high Arctic. I enjoy the creativity and intricacies of detail in my work, as well as coming up with innovative solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems.
