I’m known for making shows with heart and humour. I have a strong ents background but more recently I’ve loved finding where factual can be funny.
I’m experienced in all forms of unscripted, from development, working on location, running live studio galleries and post.
I’ve successfully developed pilots that have gone on to be commissioned, or re-vamped formats that have then successfully returned.
I’m currently launching Woodcut’s brand new factual entertainment department, working on the strategy, pitching to commissioners, talking to talent.
Before that I worked on a travelogue with Paul Merton & Suki Webster for C5 and worked on Britain’s Greatest Obsessions - made with Harry Hill’s company for Sky History.
I have fantastic on-screen talent contacts and managing them is one of my strengths. I am considered a calm, creative & cheerful leader - good at nurturing new talent & trusted with managing household names. I develop great relationships with the people I work with, so much so that years later presenters and producers still come to me with their ideas, as Chris Packham did.
In my spare time I work hard to make this industry better and more inclusive. I wrote an open letter which has had over 2000 signatures, to call for a change in how women are treated in the industry. I founded and spearheaded ‘Unseen On Screen’, an anti-bullying project which has had a huge impact in the industry, drawing on my network of contacts and working with Bectu to create an anonymous platform for freelancers.
I have worked with major talent including Ashley Banjo, Ant and Dec, Claudia Winkleman, Chris Packham, Joe Lycett & Alison Hammond.
