I'm an experienced and resourceful Self-Shooting Producer/Director and DOP with a wealth of experience shooting documentaries for broadcast as well as commercial and branded content. I'm passionate about telling powerful stories that tackle complex global issues with visual flair and sensitivity.I have a strong track record of producing high quality programming across a range of styles; from observational, character led films with often vulnerable contributors to more complex narratives driven by access in often challenging conditions. I have a strong network in many parts of the world that I often draw on and have received hostile environment training in Nairobi.I am a strong shooter with a cinematic eye, comfortable working across all formats. I really enjoy working alone as a solo shooter with the flexibility that brings wile also working alongside and directing crew. I have training in the camera department and can handle all the GoPro's, drones, while editing proficiently on Premier.I worked in Myanmar as an operations manager for a ground breaking video based human rights organisation Videre, which focused on collecting video evidence of human rights abuses in hard to access areas of the world. I've also had numerous articles published about Myanmar and apply this journalistic/research background to my filmmaking. I am very comfortable working in difficult conditions and have a keen interest in developing my understanding of different cultures and social and political contexts.My work has taken me all over the world, but I have a strong interest in Myanmar and East Africa.
