My work blends strong editorial judgement with a sharp instinct for character, story and tone - identifying compelling narratives in complex environments and shaping them on location as they unfold.
I specialise in working in remote and extreme environments, often in hard-to-reach places with sensitive access, where unfamiliar settings allow more honest, human stories to emerge. Whether working with contributors or A-list talent, I combine creative vision with practical expertise to shape stories with clarity, emotional depth and narrative drive. I’m equally comfortable leading small, agile crews into never-before-filmed locations or steering large, multi-million-pound productions with teams of 50+ through some of the most challenging environments on Earth.
From the Waorani (Ecuador) and the Mbendjele (Congo) to the Layap (Bhutan) and the San (Botswana), I have spent significant time working and living alongside several remote and indigenous communities across the world. This experience underpins my editorial approach to finding strong characters, building trust, and shaping storylines that are emotionally authentic layered and deeply connected to a place. I develop episode narratives from the ground up, structuring story arcs that evolve naturally while remaining responsive to the unpredictability of real life. As part of this ethos, I founded
Stories We Tell - a community-led storytelling initiative focused on collaboration and co-creation that place community perspective at it’s heart.
I have produced hours of premium content for global broadcasters including National Geographic, Disney+, Apple TV, BBC and Channel 4 - ranging from intimate, access-led films to large-scale, high-energy productions with a-list talent. Filming across all seven continents, from Antarctica to the Amazon, I’ve played a key role in shaping the editorial voice and narrative ambition of series led by some of television’s most recognisable adventurers and on-screen talent, including
Steve Backshall, Ben Fogle and
Aldo Kane, as well as global talent such as
Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio and
