Blake joined on a fast-turnaround current affairs single. 3 weeks to prep and film, before a 3 week edit. Surely, impossible? He did a fantastic job, prioritising what was achievable, keeping morale high and simply plugging away. In the event, we produced a cracking show, and long beyond expectation. Blake did a fantastic job on ‘Britpop: The Music That Changed Britain' for Channel 5 fulfilling a multiplicity of roles, all exceptionally well. As a shooting PD he lit and shot IVs to a DOP standard whilst carrying out lovely, relaxed interviews with Britpop luminaries. In the edit as Edit Producer on Ep 3 he shaped a very strong 90-minute episode, before revealing himself to be a highly competent Avid editor able to finish-off and polish other episodes when they over-ran. He responds to notes constructively and is a pleasure to work with.

Above all his ability to move so seamlessly between roles and carry them out to such a high standard is (in my experience) highly unusual and was of incredible benefit to our production. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Blake.
